24-Hour Race for the CHARITY

The 24 Hour Race was organized by four students in international schools around Hong Kong, and it is what it sounds like. It's a race going on for 24 hours, where people took shifts to sleep and others ran. Although it was extremely tiring, I guess it was fun in general. We basically had numbers on our shirts to identify who we were, and every time we completed a lap around the peak (aprox. 2.5km) we would get one lap to our school's name.
Pretty simple, so the race started out well. Everyone was feeling fresh and good, but after around the six hour mark people were tired and giving up. The cool thing was though, because we had so many people, we took like one hour breaks before the next run. Time to cool down and sleep was sufficient, before we had to night and morning shifts.
The plan was just to split the group and let people sleep and other people run. We stuck to it, during night time it was super scary and tiring so we just walked most of the way. It was harder than I expected it to be, much, much harder.
The great thing was that we made an impact on the world. This run was to raise money to support a charity by the name of Esther-Benjamins Trust going to stop human trafficking in Nepal and northern-India. It was tiring, but it was worth it.
